About Reflex Arc

Reflex Arc is an award-winning, three-time BAFTA-nominated VR, AR and XR developer and software studio based in Leeds, UK, working with organisations worldwide as a long-term software partner.

We deliver immersive experiences and bespoke digital platforms: long-running digital work for David Hockney and his studio, projects for leading cultural institutions, and clients including Sky and HSBC. Our work spans culture, film and broadcast, enterprise training and spatial computing.

From an artist's stroke on an iPad becoming a ninety-metre print, to a VR pilot's movements driving a humanoid robot, we close the gap between intent and action. The robots even have reflexes of their own - a "reflex arc" trained to balance and recover from a fall before the pilot could react. We build all of it with room-scale simulations in Unreal Engine and Unity, AI-powered tools, and secure training platforms on web and mobile - fast, accessible solutions that entertain, educate and empower.

Creating realities and real-world results since 2011.

What do we do?

We design and build custom web applications, engineer virtual-production and VR-scouting pipelines in Unreal Engine, and deliver immersive projects with Unity, WebXR, iOS, React and React Native.

Whether you need an AI-powered communication tool, a secure training platform, an LED-volume previs stage, or an embedded creative technologist to plug straight into your team, we craft fast, accessible solutions that entertain, educate and empower.

We also offer white-label development services - from contracting out individual developers to work-for-hire studio capacity for larger teams. Much of our work operates under NDA or as part of larger productions we can't showcase publicly, but this breadth of behind-the-scenes experience means we integrate seamlessly into your pipeline and respect your commercial sensitivities.

We've worked with globally renowned artists, museums and filmmakers - including pipeline engineering on Marvel's Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, working alongside the Virtual Art Department behind The Mandalorian - earning multiple honours along the way, from three BAFTA nominations to NHK's Japan Prize.
