As part of the complete renovation of Redbridge Library in Ilford, and the creation of a stunningly modern and ground breaking interior, designed by internationally renowned Opening the Book, Reflex Arc worked with Amorphous Orchestra to create a interactive piece as part of the amazing new children’s library.

An “Enchanted Forest” was created, complete with a waterfall and a population of mysterious creatures and happenings. The projected vista is complemented by a hand crafted tree which disappears into the ceiling and a Microsoft Kinect camera is used to capture the viewer and give them the power to paint with magic stardust across the scene.

The installation has proved a big hit with adults as well as children with its irresistible invitation to play.

The installation, features an “Enchanted Forest” with a waterfall, a population of mysterious creatures and magical effects.

At certain times of the year it changes to either a haunted forest/mansion, a seaside scene with a beach ball or a snow covered woodland.
